What GTA 5 cheats should you try out first?
With so many GTA 5 cheats available, which ones should you try out first? We recommend taking a look at the vehicle cheats, as they can really open up gameplay. Is there a GTA 5 money cheat?
Unfortunately, GTA 5 doesn't have any money cheats, you'll have to earn your cash the old-fashioned way. But some of the cheats in this article could make earning money easier, even if they won't immediately bloat your bank balance. What are the best GTA 5 cheats?
It depends on your personal preference but our favorite GTA 5 cheat is the God mode cheat, which allows you to be invincible for five minutes at a time. We find the lower your wanted level cheat to be the most useful and practical. If you're feeling impractical, however, we strongly recommend explosive punches (though, you may well find your incandescent fists lead to a rapid increase in your wanted level).
How to use GTA 5 cheats
The way you input cheats in GTA 5 is different on each platform and will depend on which kind of gamepad or input method you’re using. Keep it in mind that activating cheats will make you incapable of popping achievements or trophies on your given platform. Here’s a handy list so you don’t get lost.
We advise not to save after using cheats in GTA 5 as some are unable to be reversed, while others can be if you enter the cheat code again.
If you’re playing with a PlayStation controller (including the DualShock 4 and DualSense) then you don't need to specifically open a cheats box. Instead, when in-game, you’ll just have to follow the inputs listed below to the best of your ability. Once you finish the sequence the cheat should activate.
The same goes if you're playing GTA 5 with an Xbox wireless controller on Xbox Series X|S, One, or 360.
On PC you’ll need to hit the tilde key on your keyboard when in-game to open the cheats console. The key looks like this '~' and should be hiding underneath the 'ESC' button on your keyboard. If you're in a region outside the US, hit whichever button is below the ESC key. Hitting this key will open up the developer console where you can input cheats.
